Where the present becomes history

Museums are a place of education, offering meticulously planned journeys through history. Breaking free from this perspective turned out to be the biggest challenge for the media artist J. Scriba while exploring the vast cellars and storage warehouses of the Deutsches Museum in Munich: not becoming an insider but retaining the astonished view on the aesthetics of the random, recognizing the significance beyond importance and admitting arbitrariness as a creative element.
